Beaches

Definitely one of
Our favorites, and we
Have been to many! Therma beach on Kos has a nautical hot spring. At first we thought we were crazy to go to a there on a 89 degree day, but Med here is actually a bit cool, and the warm spring waters felt wonderful. It was a bit of a hike to get there from the bus stop and we both appreciated the sign for Donkey rides to the springs.

Greek Cats

We have decided there are more cats in Greece than tourists
Have yet to have dinner in a restaurant
Without a cat under our table
This of course has turned into a joke
"welcome to wendy's can I take your order"
"I'll have a cheese burger"
"and how many cats would you like with that"

Rhodes

Of course he wanted it!

Island hopping

After a week of island hopping, we seem to have found our groove. Show up
At the ferry five minutes before it leaves but ignore the guy who tells you to add your bag to the massive pile of backpacks on the car deck, Spend 6 euros at the cafe so you have a
Nice place to sit and then avoid fhe crush of Greeks who line up to depart first anf instead stay seated until the boat docks. We are on our way to Kos, just a short 2 hour ferry from Rhodes. It's the first room we have booked thru airbnb
How things have changed. 25 years ago when I was here, you had to fight off the room touts when debarking the ferries. Now everyone uses booking.com

It's all "All Greek to Me"

Here We are
Nick an I-in Athens
This is the cover from our menu at the restaurant we choose on our first night
We could have gone to one of the many touristy places that line the streets of the plaka where we are staying, but of course we searched out a small "mezedhopolieo" off a side street. It was a delicious ending to a s busy day.
The adventures continue!
